Approximately 239 students are studying in the Fall semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

How many programs does your school have?

There are Cookery, Catering and Pastry and Bakery programs that actively recruit students.

Where can I find important dates related to education and training?

Course registration, exams, start of classes, end of classes etc. You can find all the information about the subjects in the academic calendar. All processes related to education and training take place according to this calendar (Academic Calendar/)

How many practice kitchens does your school have?

There are 4 application kitchens.

How many service workshops are there in your school?

There is 1 service and bar/barista applications workshop. A new practice workshop specific to coffee will be active soon.

Do students make any material expenses for practice lessons?

The material fee specified in the ÖSYM preference guide will be charged. You can read the details on the candidate student page.

Should students wear special uniforms for practice classes?

Yes. Special uniforms must be worn in service, kitchen, pastry and bakery practice classes.

How do students meet their food needs?

There is a cafeteria and a canteen in our school.

In which positions do graduates or current students start?

As in many professions, new entrants will rise in food and beverage presentation and production areas, starting from the lower levels. The achievements of our students in educational activities help them to rise faster.

Is it possible to study and work at the same time?

The first responsibility of a student is to attend classes and to achieve success in these classes. However, it is possible for students to find a job within the framework of part-time job opportunities outside of school hours. We have students who are both studying and working.

Is it possible to spend time in school?

There is 1 canteen, 1 study hall/library. In addition, social activities such as table tennis and basketball court are held in the canteen.

Are activities held at school?

In addition to social and cultural activities through student groups, professional activities/presentations with sectoral participation are frequently carried out during the term.

Do you participate in outdoor activities as a school?

It is possible to participate in activities outside the school through the Culinary Arts Community and technical trips. In addition, our students participate in national and international competitions on behalf of our school or individually.

Does your school have secondary education?

No.

Can I benefit from the facilities of Akdeniz University?

Yeah. Our students can benefit from all the opportunities and activities in the main campus or other campuses.

Can I participate in competitions and festivals on behalf of the school or individually?

Yes.

Is there a possibility of lateral transfer and/or double major between programs?

There is the possibility of horizontal transfer between programs. There is no double major opportunity for now.

Is there a vertical transfer opportunity after graduation?

Yeah. It is possible to transfer to different undergraduate programs specific to each program area with the result of the DGS exam.

No. There are both theoretical and practical courses in the programs.

It is at the discretion of the instructor. Exams can be in the form of written (test, classical) or practice exams.

No.

Is there any obligation to attend classes?

Students are entitled to 30% absenteeism in theoretical courses and 20% in practical courses.

No, there is no state dormitory affiliated to KYK.

How do students fulfill their accommodation needs?

There are many accommodation establishments such as apart hotels/pension in the region. Our students stay in such places or in the houses they rent.

How far is the school from the sea?

10 min. within walking distance.

Close to school, hotel, restaurant, etc. Are there any food and beverage businesses?

The number of markets, restaurants and hotels in the vicinity is high enough.

Are there social activity areas close to the school?

Yes. Especially in the center of Kemer, there are many social activity opportunities.
